What is this service?
The Work at Height Regulations 2005, Regulation 12 requires that scaffolding is inspected by a competent person before first use, after any event likely to have affected its strength or stability, and at regular intervals not exceeding 7 days. That inspection must be carried out by someone independent of the scaffold erection contract.
Principal Management Services provides CISRS-qualified independent scaffold inspections with no commercial connection to scaffold contractors. Our inspection reports document scaffold condition against TG20 compliance principles, record all identified deficiencies with recommended remedial actions and priority ratings, and are issued in written form compliant with Schedule 7 of the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
Every inspection includes a check against the erection drawing or TG20 compliance sheet, a structural assessment of ledgers, standards, and transoms, a check of ties, bracing, and board condition, and a review of access and egress routes.
